The Santa Barbara Rose Society was
established in 1959. It is a non-profit society,
devoted to sharing knowledge about roses, rose
culture and the pleasure of rose gardening. You
will find information here about all aspects of
roses, the national flower of the United States.
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of
each month (except July, August and December).
The refreshments and rose display begin at
7:00 PM. The meeting and program begin at 7:30 PM. Meetings are held in the Louise Lowry Davis Center, 1232 De La Vina, at the corner of De La Vina and Victoria Streets in Santa Barbara. (A large parking lot is accessed from Victoria Street.) The 101 freeway exit is at Carrillo Street. Our monthly meetings feature knowledgeable guest speakers on rose-related topics. The meetings are free and open to the public. Visitors are always welcome!

The Santa Barbara Rose Society publishes a monthly digital newsletter (except for July, August and December) for members. "Santa Barbara Roses" includes monthly tips on local rose care from Consulting Rosarians Dan Bifano and Bud Jones, pictures and details on a specially recommended Rose of the Month, a report from Robert Funai on the A.C. Postel Memorial Rose Garden across from the Santa Barbara Mission, details and pictures on past and upcoming rose-related events in our area, rose recipes, special articles and much more! The A.C. Postel Rose Garden
The A.C. Postel Rose Garden was established in 1955 and is a city park. Santa Barbara Rose Society members help maintain it. To learn more about the city's rose garden click here.
